MealBoard - Meal Planner App Reviews

I invested some time entering recipes, now it is very easy to plan meals and shop. When I get to the store, if something catches my eye or is on sale, I can change my plan on the fly and update the shopping list. No more dashes back to the store for a missing ingredient. Also, I like making variations on recipes. I asked the developer how to do this without re-typing the whole thing. He replied quickly with simple directions. Worth every penny!

Awesome app!

It worked like a dream, until it disappeared when my iPad updated. Now I cant open it, because theres no icon for it on the screen, and I cant reload it because my iPad thinks I already have it. I spent hours inputting recipes into this, many hours, and its all gone. I strongly suspected this would happen. The technology just isnt stable enough, and as far as I know theres no meaningful way to back it up.

Isnt very user friendly. Too much work entering meals. Wish I hadnt spent the money.

What a great app. Ever since my wife had major surgery, Ive had to take over the meal planning, shopping and cooking. While it was getting done, it wasnt a pretty picture. This app has allowed me to plan meals a few weeks in advance, its got recipes & pictures plus Ive added a bunch of my own (especially when I grill). It keeps track of the stuff in my freezer and pantry and really has simplified shopping. I have it on my iPad and phone and since they talk to each other, all I take to the store is my phone and click off stuff as it goes in my cart. Thanks for simplifying my life a little.

I want to begin by saying that I am not being paid to review this app, I genuinely love it! I usually make my meal plans a month at a time and this app allows for that and the iPad version allows me to view my entire month on one screen. I love the shopping list function, so I know exactly what to buy for the meals I have coming up. I no longer add recipes to my trusty three-ring photo album recipe book... I import them directly into MealBoard. I really cant say enough good things about this app :)

I downloaded this app just 5 min ago and I am disappointed. What a waste of money. I thought I would be able to import the recipes but I need to manually enter them. Who has time for that!?

Worst app ever. So disappointed I bought this. I just want a simple way to type in what Im planning for meals too complicated makes you type in recipes and templates etc. keep it simple. Deleting this app. Just threw out $3.99.

This app has it all...customer service is great too. This is the meal planning app Ive dreamed of!

All this is is a recipe holder. Not at all easy to use or helpful with meal PLANNING.

I love this ap!! I am still learning the multi-dimensional depth of what it can do. So so easy to enter recipes and I love uploading pictures! It has inspired me to cook. Planning has always been my weak point, but yesterday at Starbucks I was able to choose recipes for the week, then generate a shopping list with one tap. Done with shopping list way before coffee! Incredible! Now Im learning about the pantry feature. I have been telling all my friends to buy this ap so we can trade recipes! Tech support has been very responsive -writes back within 24 hours.

Requires some work to get started, but its worth the effort

This is perfect for one that likes to have knowledge of what is in their kitchen. I have tried several apps but this one truly takes the lead..

I love this app, its just what I need. I can plan my meals, make a Grocery list from the planned meals, and keep track of what I already have in my pantry. Plus the app comes with some recipes already downloaded or I can import recipes from other sites...I love it

Does not import many recipes found in Pinterest!

I was a total novice cook and am learning so much from this app. It is great. Spend the money. You will not regret it. Very well designed and has never crashed on me once.

I am loving this app! It has a calendar to. Ive your meal plan, an awesome way to create a grocery list from your planned meals, a pantry option, a place to upload and store recipes, and settings to create notifications for specific meals (I set these up when I have prep work or need to remember to take meat out of the freezer)! This was definitely one of the most useful apps Ive found and soooo worth the price!!!

Thanks to home meals, less food waste & inexpensive app....saved me money & time all around....best ton for me is the organized grocery list. I stay on track & dont over spend. E-meals was $69+,,,,this was$3 & does same thing & more!!!!! Hmmmmm, wonder if Dave Ramsey knows about this? Lol

With a family of 5, meal planning is a crucial part of our week. I can import recipes I want to try from most popular websites into my own database or enter my own recipes manually. Then I can easily create weekly menus and shopping lists. The only drawback is the app is not very intuitive when it comes to creating shopping lists. Its not hard, but it does take some experimentation to figure out. That aside, this is the best meal planning app Ive seen. Worth every penny and then some.
